The Bravin Hotel (review)

Every week I search for Hotels within the Firestorm viewer, which in the recent past has led me to hidden treasures like The Continental.  This week doing so had me stumble upon the Bravin Hotel.

This modern themed venue, replete with amenities such as a dining room, spa, pool, small beach, and mini-golf course, sparked my interest after navigating in search through a sea of adult clubs masquerading as Hotels.

While there were aspects of the Bravin that appealed to me, such as its well-appointed rooms and spa, this appeal was somewhat dimmed by its high price tag in comparison to similar options.  I also wondered if much of the space could have been better utilised.

Overall look and feel

The overall aesthetic of the Bravin is encapsulated within a box-shaped build housing the bar and reception.

Outside, a designated pool, beach, and mini-golf area are exclusively reserved for hotel guests. Meanwhile, the dining room, spa, and rooms are housed in skyboxes.

The layout of the public areas to me revealed a suboptimal arrangement with conspicuous empty spaces. The bar area, though sparse, exuded an almost unwelcoming aura, the mesh (NPC) barman didn’t look great.

Meanwhile  the dining room's puzzling layout featured very large tables awkwardly positioned against the wall with an overly generous dance area.   One corner of the dining room however does have a single Bazar Florence Couples table, which has some really cute dinner date anims.

The spa, however, managed to carve out a more pleasing atmosphere. A lengthy corridor hosted facilities such as saunas and treatment rooms on either side, culminating in a rock pool at the end. The only discordant note was the peculiar sight of a 'no sex' sign in an adult-oriented establishment adorned with adult furniture.

The rooms

Turning our attention to the accommodation, the Bravin offers two room categories: a smaller option at 800L and a suite at 1200L.

The smaller room exuded tasteful decor with a contemporary, authentically hotel-like ambiance and a spacious bathroom featuring a walk-in shower— overall I liked it.

This has a Bazar Adult (Lina) bed, which appears to have decent animations, but from what I saw notMM or FF options. The shower in the bathroom is a Lalou Spa Shower, which is INM compatible, as well as offering threesome options.

I was less of a fan of the larger suite, boasting a sitting area, bedroom, and an outdoor terrace with a hot tub. The excess of vacant space in the bedroom detracted from the overall appeal.

The crux of the matter, however, lies in the cost. A comparable room at Essencia costs 250L.  For that you get much more extensive facilities and a bed with a choice of animation engines (Rawage, Cumming Soon or Ruckus).

Facilities

Facilities at the Bravin encompass the spa, dining room, bar, and a hair salon. Exclusive to guests are a modest pool, a beachfront locale, and a mini-golf area.

Practical information

I had no issues with lag

Room rates are 800-1200L a night

Conclusion

I love recommending great places in SL and I am also really aware of the considerable time and effort that goes into creating a build like this.  At the same time, The Bravin charges money for its rooms, and so I need to be honest about what I think.

The Hotel did have some commendable attributes, but it fell short in terms of the design of its public areas and relatively high room prices.

Nonetheless, if the Bravin undergoes an overhaul in future, I’m open to revisiting for a renewed evaluation.
