Florida Keys (Review)

Inspired by the chain of islands off the southern coast of Florida, Florida Keys is a vacation spot created by Alec Lygon. It’s pretty small but well-landscaped and designed, offering visitors a pleasant escape.

At the moment, the beach bungalows also appear to be free, making this a good option for those looking for a vacation that won’t break the SL bank.

The landing point is situated on a large bridge intended to resemble the bridges that connect the various islands of the Florida Keys. While the scale of it can feel a little overwhelming, it serves as a unique entrance to the destination. Behind the landing point, there is a store by Serendipity Poses.

Walking down the bridge leads to a small island with two beaches, a beachside road, several houses, a restaurant, and a few bungalows. The whole area has a pleasant, laid-back feel and offers a variety of elements without feeling overcrowded.

The island is also filled with mesh people. Lots of them. I personally am not a fan of these, but they can easily be derendered for those who prefer a less populated environment. The shared environment has a peach / evening hue, which may not appeal to everyone but can be easily changed to suit individual preferences. It actually grew on me while I was there.,

The bungalows come in two variations: one two-bedroom unit and three one-bedroom units. They feature a clean and simple design, with adult beds by Bactchelor Time.

Some bungalows have additional features, such as outdoor hot tubs or sun loungers, and all offer direct access to the beach. Renting a bungalow is straightforward, and while one sign indicates that it is only available to group members, it was possible to rent one without joining the group.

The facilities at Florida Keys are limited, given its compact size. There is a seafood restaurant with an empty interior and outdoor seating, as well as a plunge pool on the upper level of the restaurant building. Joining the group for a fee of 100L grants rez rights, but the main focus of the destination is on relaxation and enjoying the surroundings.

During the visit, no significant issues with lag were encountered. The destination is moderate, so no public nudity.

Overall, I liked it. Florida Keys is a simple and well-designed vacation spot that offers a free opportunity for visitors to unwind in a virtual tropical setting.
