Review - The Hotel Skade
Introduction
The Hotel Skade is located on Route 8a in Satori. Built by the owners of Hotel Freya (see review), it has four cheap (19L) and basic rooms, along with a small outdoor area and petrol station.
It's only a short distance from the Le Chateau Resort complex, so I decided to take a look.
Overall look and feel
The hotel is small and basic. The outdoor area has al pool, of the type you'd see in people's gardens as well as a seating and picnic area.
Like the Hotel Freya, the feel is very adult, which is reflected in the choice of furniture.
The outdoor bit isn't bad, but the inside is a little too sparse, and more could have been done here in terms of decor.
There is a bot at reception who hands out basic information.
Overall - 2.5 / 5
The rooms
The four rooms have a bed and shower - and that’s it. There's a communal WC in the corridor, so it mirrors a very cheap European city hotel.
Though the rooms are only 19L, they are still very empty and. basic, consisting of a Naughty Pleasures Casual Sex Bed and a Debauchery Couples Shower. Despite the price, I personally would feel a little depressed staying here.
Overall - 1.5 / 5
The animations
As mentioned, almost everything is adult. The choice of outdoor furniture includes a Chez Moi Outdoor Oval Frame Pool, Chez Moi Deckchairs and Chez Moi Picnic tables. However, there are no same sex options.
Overall- 2.5 / 5
The facilities
Obviously this is a very small place, and it's not fair to compare it to larger resorts. Still, it has a petrol (gas) station outside for passing traffic and a bar by the reception.
The outdoor space was really the nicest part of the hotel, and it may be somewhere to hang out if going on a road trip around Satori.
Overall - 2.5 / 5
Other considerations
Lag - this is on the mainland, so there are some challenges
Adult - most of the furniture is adult
Prices - 19L a night with long stay discounts
Privacy - None to speak of, I was able to walk in and out of the bedrooms at will
Conclusion
I can't recommend it as a place to stay as I really didn't like the rooms, even at the price they were far too basic. As a stop-off point to have a picnic, or fill up your car, it's somewhere you might want to consider.
Though the rooms there are PG, a better road-trip bet on Satori might be the Motel Zacisze which actually has much more furniture inside despite being free. This is located on Route 8. I may review this as part of a wider feature on Satori.
