Haven Beach: A Study in Contrasts

Having seen some daily beachside rentals advertised in a place called Haven Beach, I decided to go and take a look.

Located in the Whispers Families sim, Haven Beach combines several distinct areas: beachside villas, long-term rentals, a nightclub, and an adult entertainment zone.

The beachside villas are available at 300L per night, bookable via rental terminals. These modern builds feature glass walls and contemporary furnishings in a single open-plan space containing a bed, seating area, and bath.

The furniture choices are notable, with quality pieces from Lalou and beds from FINY Designs – a nice change from the usual Ruckus or Cumming Soon offerings typically found in vacation rentals. However, while pleasant, the villas' limited size makes the nightly rate difficult to justify. A better option might be the two-story beachside houses, available at 850L weekly, fully furnished with a 500 prim allowance.

The landscaping shows attention to detail, particularly around the beachside alcove where curved archways and woven wall decorations create a Mediterranean atmosphere. Palm trees and natural rock formations frame the coastal views, with comfortable seating areas scattered throughout. However, some areas feel somewhat crowded with builds.

The entertainment section presents a different atmosphere entirely. Haven Nation club occupies a skybox featuring purple floor patterns and red velvet seating that feels dated.

The adult entertainment section, with its neon signage, brick facades, and a ‘glory hole’, adds another layer to the development's character.

For those considering a stay, the long-term rentals offer the best value. The development's mix of residential spaces alongside recreational and adult entertainment creates an unusual environment that will suit some visitors while deterring others. Whether this combination works depends entirely on what you're looking for in your Second Life experience.
