Overall Look and Feel

Royal Crest Isles reminds me a lot of the Fiji Resort, which I previously reviewed in November 2020.

Many of the same decorations and buildings, including the villa I stayed in ( which is the same one I use for my home) are identical to the Fiji Resort.

This time, however, the theme is more of an unspecific tropical setting.

It’s lush with lots of beach and ocean activities. There’s a vast underwater area to explore. Everything is nicely designed. It’s very clear from any vantage point that this is a resort, as there are activities and purposefully designed vistas (with the company logo) everywhere you look.

There’s a bit of a generic feel to it, however and the grid-like layout feels unnatural.

Overall - 3.5/5

The Rooms

The rooms are small but pleasant. The décor is simple but nicely selected.

The soft, muted palette of blues and greens look very nice in the tropical setting.

There was a bar cart, television, and bathtub in a partitioned area of the room. I stayed in one of the three premium Villa Terrazas, which are 1,500L for 24 hours.

There are also six smaller Villa Royal cabanas at 1,000L per day. All are decorated almost identically. There is still a bit of a generic feel to the rooms (especially with each being identical) and they lack true luxury that I think some people would expect, but it’s not something I would find necessary.

Overall – 3.5/5

The Facilities

The landing point is at the end of a dock which gives the impression that I arrived by boat.

There’s a lobby/welcome center straight ahead on land.

Nearby is a gift shop and in the distance I could see the spa area on one side and several water activities on the other. There are a couple of nicely designed cafes/restaurants and a fairly large outdoor club.

There is absolutely no shortage of activities. I did as many as I could that didn’t require staff present. I used the waterslide, went hang-gliding, did some deep-sea exploration while riding a dolphin, and so many other things. All were about as entertaining as you can imagine.

Overall – 3.5/5

The Animations

As with most hotels/resorts I’ve visited, all the couples’ animations I tested were designed for MF couples.

As I had a female guest with me, most were awkward for us, even after adjusting for height.

The bed had the Ruckus engine added, which is almost completely impossible to adjust for FF because the major focus of those animations is for male pleasure.

There are plenty of creators whose furniture has FF and MM animations included along with MF. These resort and hotel owners might benefit from including some of these. I had rez rights on my parcel and was able to rez my own furniture, but it was a bit awkward.

Overall - 2/5

Other Considerations

I contacted staff via their Discord server to reserve a couples’ massage over 24 hours in advance of the time I wanted. I was also planning to ask if there was an option for FF furniture once they replied.

I didn’t hear back from staff until a few hours before my rental expired. I don’t blame them for not being available during late hours, but the slow response meant that there were many activities I couldn’t participate in. Aside from myself and my guest, there were never any other people at the resort.

We never saw any other guests or staff.

Even during the couple of times I did visit during their advertised operating hours, no staff were present.

My guest and I were able to enjoy ourselves easily, but the overall resort *feel* was lacking with a completely vacant island. I can’t really hold that against staff as they have their own lives but it makes the resort less appealing because of it.

I visited during rental season, which doesn’t have staff always present (as opposed to booking season which has staff on-hand for accommodations).

Overall

Royal Crest Isles is for adults who enjoy a tropical vacation with lots of resort activities. And I am sure during booking season the place feels more alive with staff available.

If you are looking for sexy adult fun, you are limited to those activities in your room only, so this probably isn’t the kind of resort you’d want to stay at if that is a priority.

The cost is a little high, especially during rental season, but I am sure with proper planning there are more activities available to justify the cost.

I would recommend Royal Crest Isles if there were not so many better similarly-themed options available (as you can see on the rest of this blog). While it’s a nice place, there’s nothing about it that will lure me back to it.
