Salt & Siren

We don’t only do hotels, sometimes we also profile cafes, restaurants or date spots that we like. One of those is Salt & Siren created by our friends Harlow and Harvey Holiday.

Introduction

Salt & Siren is a coastal cafe on the Blake Sea, owned by two of the three owners of Eleventh House (the third is of course Aria).

There’s a small pier, so you can sail here, and there are various rez points around the sea. We chose one quite close by at Honah Lee Airfield.

A note if you decide to sail, the estate doesn’t allow super yachts or boats bigger than 28 metres in length.

The group is free to join, Harvey and Harlow say that the goal is to “create a great community atmosphere on the Blake.”

You can also rez poses and photo props, as well as to moor your boat.

Of course, as you are on the Blake Sea, this is not an adult destination, and there is no nudity (but swim wear is fine, and even encouraged).

The Cafe

The Cafe itself has an indoor and outdoor sitting area. Inside, just pick whatever food or drink item you want by clicking on it.

It’s really nicely designed, bright and airy and with plenty of places to sit without feeling crowded.

I particularly liked the Salt & Siren murals on the walls and doors.

The Island

The cafe sits on a small island with pretty woodland walks, the boat piers and a boat house.

There’s also a pavilion where you can sit with friends or with your significant other and enjoy the view over the sea.

Conclusion

Salt & Siren was recently featured by Second Life, and so had a fair amount of visitors. However that’s died down, making now the perfect time to go.

Chances are you’ll find one or two people there at the same time as you, but it won’t be overrun, so it’s a really nice date spot. Or, if you just looking to hang out somewhere and make friends, it works as well.
