Siargao Island
Recently my friend Sparkle (follow her on Flickr here), alerted me to the eixstence of Siargao Island, a Philippines inspired tropical experience complete with beaches, a rainforest and a villa.
It's not a resort in the sense of the ones I usually cover, but I have been looking to branch out a bit, and Siargao Island is both a great photo and date spot.
The creator is Cerridwen Keneinan, and there are a series of pictures on her Flickr feed about the island, plus you can watch a virtual tour on YouTube.
I say it's not a resort, but the villa is available for rent and when I met Cerri she told me she is looking to add a few more resort style experiences, with the caveat that this will never be an RP hotel, more of an exclusive rental where you can enjoy the surroundings.
Having seen both the house and the island, I absolutely think it's somewhere to take a significant other.
And as I've been thinking about doing a series of posts about great date experiences in SL anyway, I intend to come back in a few weeks to rent the villa, after which I'll post a longer review.
