Review - Cupid Motel ⭐️
This is the next in my series of Second Life Motels. Huge thanks to the beautiful .dot who came with me and appears in these photos. Please follow her on Flickr here.
Introduction
The Cupid Motel is part of the larger Starry Meadows development, a really attractive beach town that’s in turn part of the Dream, Art Fashion community.
I’ve only featured the Motel (as that’s of course the purpose of this website), but I will say that the overall sim is definitely worth a visit. with the small arthouse cinema and beach huts a particular favourite.
It’s also serves as a good photo location, joining the Art Dreams group (free) gets you rez rights.
The Motel
The Cupid Motel sits at the end of the Starry Meadows beach town. There’s a small cafe, an office, about ten or so rooms and a courtyard with benches and tables where you can sit.
The Rooms
The rooms are free, but it’s worth saying right away that this is somewhere that is strictly PG, so if you are after that kind of Motel, you are very much in the wrong place.
They are however really nicely decorated with a (PG) bed some bedroom furniture and a sofa.
The facilities
This includes a cafe, and an outdoor seating area. The Motel is also at the edge of the town, and it’s only a short walk if you want to explore.
Overall
I really liked it here, this is one of the nicest designed Motels I’ve seen in Second Life so far, and it shows that an arts and design based team is behind it.
Being able to rez is great, as this is an excellent photo spot.
The fact that it is PG is in that respect a bonus, as the rules around no public sex or nudity, and no annoying public music sounds by avatars means that you’ll be able to take your pics in peace - indeed when we were here, we were the only ones on the sim.
Definitely go and check it out, highly recommended.
