Review - Raynier's Resort

This is one of the few hotels connected to the Blake Sea. That in itself means it’s worth a look. Though the rooms are quite simple, it is super cheap starting at 25L a night, and the facilities including a full golf course on a sky platform, are good. Recommended

Overall look and feel

Rayniers uses the Scarlett Hotel build that I’ve seen used a few times now.

It’s a large wooden early 1900s style hotel building. However, one of the problems is that it leaves you with a lot of space to fill. I’ve not yet seen anyone use this build without making it seem empty inside. At times, that was the case here.

However, the grounds surrounding the hotel are really well done, and a lot of care and attention has gone into them. The landscaping is nice, and I liked the outdoor bar area as well as the beach.

There are also little details that the owners have added, such as including a swim HUD at the swimming pool, which you often won’t find at more expensive places.

Finally, it’s also worth mentioning that Raynier’s Resort isn’t completely self service, if you ring the bell at reception, the chances are that an actual person will come to help you. Again, most places at this price range offer no RP at all, and it’s impressive that this hotel does so.

Overall - 3.5 / 5

The rooms

These are located across two floors of the hotel, and can be rented at the front desk. The cost is 25L for one person or 50L for two, per night.

The rooms are pretty simple featuring a double bed, a bit of bedroom furniture and a bathroom with bath and WC. The furniture has adult as well as PG animations. Given the very low cost, I don’t think you can really expect much more.

There is some privacy, your group tag serves as your room key, and this prevents non residents from accessing your room or opening the door.

Overall - 3 / 5

The facilities

The owners told me that they wanted to create a resort where there is plenty to do, and they have really succeeded in doing so.

You can rez a free small sailboat on the beach from which to explore the surrounding sims. The boat is a gift and it remains in your inventory, which is a really nice touch.

There’s a golf course on a sky platform, with a rezzer for you to get golf clubs. The club also has a quite nice clubhouse attached.

Inside the hotel you’ll find a bar, a restaurant, and a swimming pool in the annex. Meanwhile around the hotel there’s a beach, an outdoor bar, outdoor gym and an outdoor spa.

The range of facilities is excellent, especially considering how little it costs to stay here.

Overall - 3.5 / 5

Overall

Raynier’s Resort and Conference Centre provides rexcellent value for money. For very little you get a lot, and the Blake access is a definite plus. As a result, this may be somewhere worth checking out for a Blake Sea themed vacation.
